After the Update from JEvents 3.1.45 to 3.2.5 the window that appears when you click with the mouse on the editing Symbol does not work. It appears, but the screen is dimmed(including the editing window) and if I want to click on one of the editing options, the window of editing closes.
I've noticed that after updating the message "problem during deleting the edit.xml" or something like that, were shown in the backend.
Sorry for my bad English, I'm from germany, I hope you can understand my problem.

my JEvents Support Info:

PHP Version : 5.3.29
MySQL Version : 5.5.42-log
Joomla : 3.3.6
component_com_jevents : 3.2.5
component_com_jce : 2.4.6
module_mod_jevents_cal : 3.2.5
module_mod_jevents_custom : 3.2.5
module_mod_jevents_filter : 3.2.5
module_mod_jevents_latest : 3.2.5
module_mod_jevents_legend : 3.2.5
module_mod_jevents_switchview : 3.2.5
plugin_content_jevents : 3.2.5
plugin_finder_jevents : 3.2.5 (not enabled)
plugin_search_eventsearch : 3.2.5
Thank you very much geraint, this link to the BT forums solved the issue for me.
As a summary, they have a download with some modified files for BT login, and I had to do the according changes manually because my BT login version is a newer one, but all is working now as expected. Thanks again :-)

Try updating to Joomla 3.4.1.

Do you see any error messages in your browser's javascript error console?

These are just warnings for developers and not errors - also they are not called anywhere in the JEvents codebase.

Can you send me login details via PM so I can run the event editing through a javascript debugger to figure out what is going on?

thanks

Don't know if it can help you.
I started firebug and can read that in error tab just after clicking on JEvents edit button:

TypeError: i.modal(...).one is not a function
bootstrap.min.js(t=Object { originalEvent=Event click, type="click", timeStamp=771944240, plus...})bootstrap.min.js (ligne 8)
m.event.dispatch(a=Object { originalEvent=Event click, type="click", timeStamp=771944240, plus...})jquery.min.js (ligne 3)
m.event.add/r.handle(a=click clientX=1411, clientY=68)jquery.min.js (ligne 3)

...},i.data(),n.data());t.preventDefault(),i.modal(s).one("hide",function(){n.focus...

Are you talking about Joomla bootstrap CSS (changing in Jevents Configuration) ?
I already tested these options, it doesn't change anything.

For general template of my web site, I can't change it (site in line).
But you must know that it is an artisteer template.

Hello,

It is likely the problem is the template. Artisteer are know for problems like this.

If you add:

&template=protostar

providing you are on Joomla! 3.x to the url of the page with the problem and load it, does it work?

Thanks

Hello,

We are working on JEvents 3.2 to remove the MooTools from the edit page.

Can you install JEvents 3.1 instead, does that resolve your issue?

Thanks
Tony

I have exactly the same issue!
Events can not be edited anymore from the frontend site!

How do I go back to an older version?
Or can you tell me when this will be solved.

regards,
Jeroen

Did you update to JEvents 3.2.7 ? If that doesn't fix the problem please send me login details via PM for a user who can create an event since this is not a problem I am seeing on our development sites and it is important for us to isolate the cause of the problem

I created an event on 24 April 2015 'Test Event 2' and was then able to edit this event with no problems. I have now unpublished the event.

Did you test using the user details you gave me? Which browser are you using? What problems are you encountering?

How can I change the size of the icon?

Hello Geraint,

I solved it by using the custom layout.
Now I have a bigger icon on the left.
Sorry for that, the attachment was from the default layout.

OK - I think I have the solution.

Edit the file components/com_jevents/libraries/bootstrap.php and change lin 305 from
$('#$selector').modal($options);
to
$('#$selector').appendTo('body').modal($options);

Does that resolve the problem?
