Hello experts,
is it somehow possible to give a usergroup the rights to write additional comments to events depending to special categories?
regards,
Berndi

Hello Berndi,
You could look at using jComments? And have category based event detail custom based layouts?
Many thanks

Okay..., I played a little with jcomment.
Is it possible to enable comments only at one or some catergories?
The Jevent categories do not appear in the JComments categorylist. :-(

I'm not sure, but I think it has something to do with the com_categories....
Do I have to make an override to change the sql-query?

Hmmm....
I added the JEvent-categoriy id's by hand to the #__jcomments_settings
It seems that it has no effect.
How can I restrict event comments by categories?
Maybe by modifying the event-detail-site ?
...but how should I do this?

Hello,
You could use multiple custom layouts. ones for the categories you want to use it on.
But you are using a template override in one of your views I believe?
Many thanks
