404 - Page not found from main site menu

I am having issues with JEvents from the main menu. I have chosen the month view and when I click on menu item from site main menu I get 404 Page not found. I have tried this on another site and it works no problem. I am using the up to date Joomla 3.8.8.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled as well as clean out DB tables before reinstalling. Any suggestions? The Events Module works no problem.

Hello,

You only have the JEvents Menu items so whilst it may seem it is a JEvents issue it is not. Please rename htaccess.txt to: .htaccess in your Joomla! Root.

Or disable SEF Links in the Joomla! Global configuration.
