Hi,

Is there a module/plugin that will set the next upcoming event to be a featured, frontpage article?

Hi nevans,
I'm not sure if I understand you. Do you mean showing the upcoming events list as a frontpage article? If so, you may use the latest events module with the loadposition plugin that comes with Joomla!.

What I really want is to only show the next event as a full feature on the front page.

Hi Carcam,
You were correct, I can use 'Loadmodule'. I've created a version of the Latest events module that only displays one entry, and used custom formatting to add the ${content} to the output.
Just got to fiddle with the layout now ... thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
