First, thanks again for your fast response and solution to my last issue!

I have noticed that if allowing a user a menu link to manage their events, all user events show up fine. I have allowed users delete permissions, and the delete button shows up fine on their event list. But, it they do delete an event, it still shows up on the list. On further investigation, it appears that the event is only getting "trashed" and not completely deleted. On the backend, the event gets moved to trash. So it seems that proper flow should be to either completely delete event, bypassing trash, or filtering user's event list to not show trashed items. Could you give me some direction into this?

Thanks,
-Curtis
Hello Curtis,

You are right if they are showing ALL events it will show as trashed and the user cannot empty the trash. We added this to follow the Joomla! user state. Since some users might accidentally delete events and not realise it would also then completely remove any RSVP Pro sessions with it.

We should probably add a trash state to the frontend at some point for filtering, and then also hide trash unless explicitly selected. But it's not been demanded much at the moment.

Many thanks
Tony

It isn't marked/identified as trashed though, and still shows a delete link, leaving the user to believe that it hasn't been deleted. Could I suggest just hiding trashed events. That way, an admin could still access them and edit/publish/delete them in backend.
Thanks!

Hello Curtis,

By default trashed events are semi hidden. I.e. is you set show unpublished or published trashed events won't be seen.

I'll look at working a fix into the next release.

Many thanks

Tony, just trying to figure something out... users when managing events, trashed items show, BUT when a superuser or admin is viewing Manage Events from frontend, trashed items do not show up. Where are they being filtered from frontend admin view?

-Thanks

Hello Curtis,

By default they are being filtered from the select lsits in the admin panel underneath the manage events view.

Tony, I mean from the frontend view - menu item "Manage JEvents". If a regular user is logged in, all users events are shown, even trashed events. But, if a superuser or admin uses the same menu link, all events are shown EXCEPT trashed events. I would also like the trashed events to be seen by admin.

Thanks,
-Curtis

Hello Curtis,

I cannot replicate this. Can you provide me super user logins in the Site Details tab? And how to replicate it?

Many thanks
Tony
