Hi,

does the Jevents use a different events system to Jomsocial's or does it integrate with theirs? For example, if a user creates an event via Jomsocial, will it show up in the Jevents calendar?

Melanie
There is a set of addons to integrate JEvents and JomSocial - so for example you can import events from JomSocial into JEvents and keep these up to date.

Hi -- This topic interest me also.

So it sounds from your reply that you do not use the JomSocial Events tables... rather you have a completely separate data storage for JEvents and provide the ability to migrate existing event data?

I also have a few other questions:
1 Has your current release been tested with the new JomSocial 4?
2 JomSocial groups can have group specific events ?
3 Do you automatically add to the activity stream when people add events or RSVP to an event?

Many thanks

1. We have not yet tested JomSocial 4 thoroughly - but an initial test seemed to indicate that the functionality works as expected

2. Yes using the JEvents user specific events addon you can create JEvents events that are private to JomSocial groups or to your 'friends'

3. Yes - using the activity streams addon
