I discovered that when trying to use JEvents with Joomla! 5, the "Behaviour - Backward Compatibility" plugin is required - otherwise, the website returns the error:

Yes - this is the plan but we need to get the club addons released in J5 compatible form first. We'll then refine and enhance the code to allow the compatibility plugin to be disabled
