Hey there, the latest update has broken the ability for my site to display background images on any page where JEvents is displayed. (sept 22 was when I updated, and I had updated 2 weeks ago as well, can't remember previous version). Instead of the image, I get a plain grey screen. You can see what the page is supposed to look like by going to any other page on the site. This would normally not be an issue, but I am applying for a grant and the website needs to be all nice for the jury. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hello,

on the JEvents pages there is no image being loaded hence the grey. I cannot see any reason for this or how your site starts issuing the background images. Since it's loaded at the bottom of the div is looks like it maybe a selection in your template? Where do you define the background images?

also, you have some jQuery errors. Can you make sure JS Compression is disabled in your Template for testing purposes.

Many thanks
Tony

Your site is running a jQuery script called 'backstretch' to display the changing background images. The Scripts to run this are not even being loaded on the JEvents page.

I don't think its JEvents in general that is the issue - see http://thecountyline.ca/pages/about-us?option=com_jevents&task=month.calendar (I'm displaying JEvents on a different menu item).

So there are 2 thoughts I have:
1. could be how you have configured your backstretch. Is it applicable for the JEvents menu item page?
2. Could be related to the jevents latest events module - try disabling that as an experiment

Hey Geraint, thanks for that. It looks like your version didn't have the "jump to month" drop down displayed on yours. I think that just started displaying on mine, but I can't be sure. Is there a way to get rid of it since that might be the problem? I've attached a picture of what I'm referring to. Maybe that's what's stopping backstretch from loading. I did load the same module to a different page and it also had this same issue.

I disabled the latest events module for a while and that made no difference, do I don't think it's that. Thanks again for your help!

Hello,

You can remove it by configuring the navigation icons in the component and /or the menu item.

Many thanks

Hey again guys, I have made the navigation and drop down disappear, but my issue is still persisting. Sorry to be a pest, but are there any other ideas? And as I think I mentioned, I HAVE tried adding the calendar view to a different page and the same thing happens with the loss of background. Any help is VERY much appreciated.
