Hi,

Can you please let me know if JEvents (with the Gold sub) will do the following?

I want to make a booking system for a health retreats service (which is basically just an event). Each retreat is for a number of days (let's use 4 days in this example) and is only available for a set number of people, let's say 20.

So I'd like a calendar on the page, showing each 4 day retreat and (for example) it would show that 12 out of the 20 have already been booked for that retreat. Then the next retreat maybe still has 20 spaces available etc.
If there are spaces in a particular retreat, the person can book their slot and pay a deposit (I think just via Paypal will do). They would get a confirmation email, the site admin would get their details in an email and JEvents would update for that retreat now 13 out of 20 have booked.

Once a particular retreat is fully booked, it will show it's fully booked and not available.

That's the core system we want.

And to make it easier for the admin, could I also setup a 4 day retreat to repeat? EG. I want it to show retreats starting every Monday to Thursday for the next year. So I wouldn't have to manually create each 4 day retreat for the year.
Hi bobjenson,
that is all done using our RSVP Pro Component. You may find a demo in this page: http://rsvp.jeventsdemo.net/

Best!!

We cannot show all the features of the component in the Demo as some functionalities are not compatible one with another, so please ask if you cannot find a feature you would like to have.

Best!!

In the demo, can I change it to allow unregistered users to register for an event? The option is probably right in front of my eyes but I can't see it <!-- s;-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";-)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;-) -->

Yes, you just need to edit configuration and set the setting "Allow recording attendance by email addresses" to Yes.

Thanks! Yes I was staring right at the screen with that option (and the tooltip even says it's for non registered users, opps!)

Anyway, thanks again, it looks like this system will be perfect.
