Hi experts,

after the update today to v3.4.30 there's an issue with the event.listview.

All of my custom fields won't show the value.
They are still there in the event.details, but not in the listview. :-(
Hello,

In your custom fields plugin is it set to show in lists/module views?

Can you update your post with Site Details?

Many thanks
Tony

Yes, in the settings of the custom fields plugin the option to show in lists and module views is set to YES.

Maybe the issue has something to do with the work Geraint did according to this thread.

(sorry for crossposting)

regards,
Berndi

Can you give me the URL to the event list view where the fields should be visible?

Nothing in the 3.4.30 release should cause this

Okay, I now understand how the new subcatgories work.
Ii have to activate them by hand.
They aren't shown automatically anymore.

I think I like this new feature...

...but I would like to be more fully informed about such serious changes.

My problem seems to be related. After the 3.4.30 update, my events all show up like this (http://www.thechorus.org/) and this (http://www.thechorus.org/index.php/listen/events/range.listevents/-), but the details are ok. Any help out there?

skullmonkey - There is a new release of the custom fields addon that should resolve this.

Berndi - The problem is that the Joomla updater doesn't provide a good mechanism for informing users of changes included in updates. We always provide a change log in the download area.

jeffxwilson - did you resolve your issues? The links look ok to me.

Berndi - Just spotted your message about the custom module positions, this should not have changed. What are you seeing as the issue?

The css classes of "jevpretoolbar" and "jevprejevents" have changed from "jev_pretoolbar" and "jev_prejevents" to "moduletable"

...at the icalevent.detail sites

See https://github.com/JEvents/JEvents/blame/jQuery/component/site/views/default/helpers/defaultviewhelpershownavtablebar.php - the code for the css class of jev_pretoolbar was last changed 3 years ago and there is no class jev_prejevents.

Do you have any template overrides in place?

I sought help from the original developer of my site. He said that some property names had changed and he fixed our problem by updating the template overrides to match. I've asked him which properties will post when I hear back from him.

Does 3.4.31 address any of this?

jeffxwilson JEvents 3.4.32 should resolve this issue - it should reinstate the old fields which your template may have been using
