Integration with Hikashop for 'purchasing' of class?

So I hunted through forums and noticed that a few other people had tried to do what I am trying to do but it seems that perhaps JEvents/RSVP Pro doesn't exactly do what I need...

The products will already be created in Hikashop - I can not have them created on the fly in JEvents/RSVP Pro which is the answer I saw mentioned by someone at JEvents/RSVP Pro... have you fixed/updated the software to work with already existing Hikashop products?

Also, the visuals of JEvents is quite dated, even with a few templates that exist - when are you planning on giving it a refresh so it doesn't look like the visual/calendar are from 2005 [not being mean, just telling you what my client said when they saw this solution over some more modern/prettier ones ]

Then I am afraid this is not possible :-(. JEvents RSVP Pro has many different settings to be fully extensible. If you bought an event from Hikashop we wouldn't have a clue as to what fields would match up, what event to apply it to and so on.

We have the Flat layouts which are fairly flat / modern design. WE are also now about to release the fullcalendar.io theme to our club members also!

We are at a bit of a stand point with what to do design wise, since Joomla! 4 is due out, we will be doing a lot of refactoring of JEvents and we appreciate the need for speed for websites as 2019 is upon us. So we have quite a lot of work todo!

Thank you for the response - J4 is great but won't be converting to that for quite a while 1. because it's not even out yet and won't be this year most likely [definitely not in a very stable version] 2. because clients are always slow to migrate and do so when there are no consequences [financial or otherwise]... so hoping you will add the new 'visual' to 3.x as well...

Maybe I'm not making myself clear in what I want... I don't want people to buy the product from Hikashop, I am OK with presenting the product with a RSVP/JEvents interface if I have to BUT I want the eCommerce handled by Hikashop but with pre-defined products - there are a LOT of reasons to want that including tracking profit of one product/class/workshop over another [reporting basically - with RSVP generated 'products' I understand it as you would have different 'products' for different dates so if we have a class each day of the week, we'd end up with 5*52 = 260 unique products and way more as some are combos of days for a week...

I have a hard time understanding why you wouldn't have made it simpler and given the ability to integrate a Hikashop product with a few custom fields [for handling date, time, whatever else you needed] into RSVP Pro/JEvents calendar...

This is true but we have to plan for it/adapt to it since an Alpha is already out.

What you are asking for at present is not possible. Simply because you can't tie Hikashop data into a JEvents RSVP Pro Registration form, with all the additional configurations and field types. Remember, our Registrations forms can be different on a event basis so you wouldn't know when data you would need to collect from a user purchasing through hikashop.

Looking through hikashop i.e. a shop to register for an event would be quite illogical, if I want to go to an event I would look at the events calendar, find what I want and from there figure out how to register, which is where you would use RSVP Pro. This then takes you to payment through Hikashop/Add to cart. This is by far the simplest solution to the end user.
