I just updated jEvents v3.6.12. Now, Google Maps is not working properly. The location link does not bring up a map, and clicking on the map opens a blank window.

Anyone else having this issue?
Do you have a link to the page?

I found the link, the problem and the solution.

I am releasing a new version of Managed Locations within the next couple of hours which will resolve this and a few other issues raised by other users.

I'm still not seeing the new version of Managed Locations. Did you release it?

Version 3.6.4 was released on the 7th - see https://www.jevents.net/download-area/silver-downloads/category/managed-locations-2 - unfortunately I hadn't updated the XML file that the Joomla updater checks

You should see the update if you check again now

Thanks for the link to the updated version. It still wasn't showing as an available update in Joomla, so I downloaded and installed the downloaded zip file. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing any improvement. I also tried in another browser. Here's a link to my site:

https://www.finishlinetiming.com/lucky-brew-race

Clicking on both the Location link and the small Google map brings up a blank window that only has the address, no map.

Have you configured the JEvents Managed Locations component and checked the maps integration tab? It looks as though you may not have the maps url configured for Google Maps

I didn't change any settings; I just updated jEvents and then the Managed Locations plug in. I searched for documentation and couldn't find anything. I'm poking around jEvents Configuration and can not find where to configure for Google Maps.

I'm sorry - I was convinced that I has written a documentation article about the new settings. Its on the urgent ToDo list now!

See https://www.finishlinetiming.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_jevlocations&task=params.edit&component=com_jevlocations&view=component and the 'Maps Config' tab

Even if you don't change the settings you should save them to make sure the new settings are stored. It should pick up the old settings and migrate them over.

I honestly didn't see the Map Config tab yesterday. I had to reenter my Google API and now it works normally.

Thanks!!!
