Hello,
I seen there is a plug-in JoomSocial (to JEvents), but none for EasySocial. I read there isn't a 'huge' ask for this function, but also read people have asked for it for a few years now.

I'm curious if there have been any forward progress to implement this plug-in in the near future. I really like the features JEvent offers, but have no intent to purchase if no EasySocial integration.

Any status on this?
Hello,

We do have a basic integration. But no many users have tested it, what features are you looking for exactly?

Many thanks
Tony

What are the limitations of the 'basic' plug-in? How is it different then the Jomsocial... what is it lacking?

Hello,

Sorry I've just bumped geraint to review this post since he developed it.

But it is fairly similar to the JomSocial and we are happy to extend it's development should you need it.

We also offer a 30-day money back offer, I do apologies for the delay you have had. We have been experiencing family issues and it's the school holidays. Unfortunately, the forum software doesn't allow just viewing un-read notifications in an oldest first order..

The plugin basically allows you to display events created by a user on their profile pages.

Was there more functionality you were looking for? As Tony says we could look at extending the plugin to mirror some of the functionality we offer in Jomsocial e.g. showing events a user is attending, linking JEvents events to EasySocial events or linking to activity streams when events are created in JEvents.

No worries on the delays. That would be nice to have the same functions, as those offered in JomSocial!!!

Would it be possible for "Group" Members to create events also?

I personally use the Facebook events alot, but I also like that I can create events within Groups. I understand this may not be meant to be a full social function, but would be nice. (as I can see some Groups in a 'large' number of members, access rights would be a pain to manage, from a site owner perspective, but would only grant up to 2-3 member admin rights to create.)

I would use JEvents for my main site events for sure, but investigating options.

Hello CJax,

Would these be EasySocial groups and you want them to be able to create events in JEvents?

At present we have full Joomla! ACL Groups support.

Many thanks
Tony
