I have set up a menu item for a calendar export on the main site. I have copied this URL and used it to set up a new calendar on a new site. When adding the URL to the proper field in the calendar set up, I received the following error:

Not a valid VCALENDAR data file: http ucouncil.com index.php?option=com_jevents&view=icals&layout=ical

Can anyone help?

Hi danl,
after setting the menu item you have to navigate that page and choose your export options. After that you will obtain the link you have to use as export URL.
