The problem is the users permissions are being trumped. So rather than granting extra permissions we don't grant them as a security measure.

You should create a group C which has the rights of A & B.

Uh big problems because ultimately it's not two groups, but 10, 20 or 30 !!
Impossible to do by multiplying groups <!-- s:-( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":-(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:-( --> with multiple rights (if not exponential).
How do we can solve this? with your calendars ??

You could use JEvents Authorised User Mode and select the categories for each user? This will become laborious for lots of users though.

I realize now an associative website whose goal is to have a common agenda that includes the associations agendas. Each association has a public and private JEvents class category.
I want only the members of each association to write in the diary which they are registered in their CB profile
Everyone can see public events of all associations

Currently
X a member of the association can write A in the categories of association
OK
Y a member of the association can write B in the categories of association
OK
If a member of the association Z A and B ACL rights to write to the categories of its associations, it can not create a single event.

How to deal with agendas ?

Are you setting the usergroup A denied in Category 2? Or inherited.

Basically, if you change the usergroups so they are inherited and by default denied, but set the groups as allowed on the categories this should work. But if they are explicit denied on a category we chose this over the allowed.

Hello,

The issue is you have set it to Refuse on the parent usergroup so the sub groups are automatically refused by default.

The alternatiba parent group is set to authorized the "Events creation"
FOr me everything is allowed to the "creation of the event" except for members of A that are not written in the category B

The key thing is that denying permission is always more powerful than allowing. So if an event is in category A and category B and the user is not allowed to edit events in category B then they will not be able to edit this event. Is that the key part of your problem?

That I understand, but it works well with the categories of Kunena.
I imagine there must be a solution with the group relative of x agendas of association rather than multiply joined groups.
I just have not understood on what group of parents, is action needed?
