Hi Support,

I'm receiving a 403 error on our site whenever we try to create an event as a super user. I've reviewed what's already here in the forums and haven't found a solution yet.

This error was occurring for us WITHOUT "Enable User Authorisation" turned on. I can confirmed that the Joomla ACL settings were correct and set to authorize all changes for super users. I tested turning this on for our super user, but still nothing. I've also tried a full re-install of the component with no changes.

Any help you could provide would be appreciated.
Hello,

I've debugged this and found the problem. It is down to how your categories had been created? I've just gone in and opened then saved each one and all is working again for some reason Joomla! was missing the ACL level on those categories so it was returning no authorised for any of the JEvents Categories.

Many thanks
Tony

Hello,

Can you please provide super user logins and let us know how we can recreate the issue on your site.

Many thanks

Hi Tony,

I've provided the requested login information attached to this response.

To replicate, login to the backend, go to Components > JEvents, then to Manage Events and click on the New button. Upon clicking the New button, you'll receive the 403 error and be directed back to the control panel.

Thanks,
