I would have posted this on the gold & silver forums but the site tells me I am not authorized to view topics there. Peculiar, as I just updated our membership. Anyway I updated to 3.1.8, inserted the club/update code into the configuration and then tried to update with the J2.6 update manager.

None of the updates "took". Error messages are:
Error connecting to the server: failed to open stream: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known
Package download failed: http://ubu.jev20j16.com/nothinghere.php

Suggestions?
Hello,

Can you try clearing your cache then loading your control panel?

I see this account has not been upgrade on the forums? Can you logout and back in again?

Thanks
Tony

Cleared the cache. Clicked "Find updates:. Found Jevents Missing Events and Events Agenda/Minutes. Checked both and clicked Update. Resulting error:

This is because your membership has expired. In your list of updates you should have seen a message next to the agenda/minutes plugin to say your access code was missing or was not up to date.

I've written a guide to the updater function - here http://www.jevents.net/updater-access-code

Can you clear your updates cache and fetch the list again. What do your list of updates look like?

p.s. if you logout of the homepage of jevents.net and login again your membership status in the forum should be updated.

Geraint, Tony has a superuser account on my site and is supposed to be working on this problem. Are you familiar with him?

Yes - Tony told me your membership had been renewed.

I'll get him to pass the details to me since I am more familiar with the intricacies of the code for the updates

The problem appears to be that the access code you are using is for feXXXha.org but the updates you are doing are from <!-- w -->www.feXXha.org<!-- w -->

I don't understand. My website is fearringtonfha.org. What do I need to do to correct my problem?

The access code you were using was for fearringtonfha.org but when you login the backend of the site you end up at <!-- w -->www.fearringtonfha.org<!-- w --> which didn't match.

I've subsequently modified the code to allow for <!-- w -->www.xxx.com<!-- w --> to match xxx.com so your updates should be working correctly now.

Thank you. The one remaining update apparently worked.

I still can not access the gold and silver forums.

did you logout and login on the home page of jevents.net?

Your Joomla account is upgraded already but sometimes you need to logout and login on the Joomla part of the site to force the forum account to be upgraded too.
