I am having the same issue. I can add events on any month up to the 28th. I wonder if there is something looking at the current month which only has 28 days and prevents it from adding any events past the 28th as the 29th, 30th, and 31st would not be valid dates in February.
I am using M/D/Y but have also tried all of them with the US Date Format. I am on 3.0.6.

Good detective work - the problem is because we are in February. The code creates a date within Javascript and was setting the day value before the month value which was creating an invalid date.
Please update to version 3.0.7 which will fix this issue.

After posting my reply to this I realised that this was a February based javascript issue caused by the fact that February has only 28 days this year and in one part of the javascript code I was creating a date variable and setting the day before the month which was throwing the error.
This has been fixed in 3.0.7 which is now available

Version 2.2.8 is completely different in its handling of the event creation dates since we introduced this option in verison 3.0.x

I have that same problem today I'm afraid. I have tried to set some events for the whole months of March and April and cannot use the 29th 30th or 31st. I get that message Invalid Corrected on each of those dates only 28th is accepted. I would be grateful for your help please.

Are you sure you have version 3.0.7 AND that you have cleared your web browser cache before editing an event?
