How do I add a border to latest jevents module

Hi please see the attached image I am trying to add some padding to the top of my module so it fits in with the other items on my homepage, could anyone help please.

Hello,

I would suggest either:

a. editing the modules customformat string and adding a margin like:

<div style="margin-right:10px;margin-left:10px">
Your custom string here.
</div>

b. using firefox and firebug to inspect and apply a class with margins to your sites template.

Sorry if I sound like an idiot but I am a beginner with joomla so where would I find

a. editing the modules customformat string and adding a margin like:

Joomla Administration, Extensions, Module Manager then search for the module you created. In there look for custom for matt string.
