How to change RSS feed Time to 12 Hour Format?

I am displaying my jevents calendar RSS feed on another website. However, the feed is showing 24 hour format. How do I change it to 12 Hour format?

under the Components > Configuration > Component > Use 12hr time Format > Yes is checked.

i found the language manager, but what do i put in the Text field as a replacement to display 12 hour time?

it currently says: %d %b %Y %H:%M

%l according to http://php.net/manual/en/function.strftime.php should NOT have a leading zero. It could be a php problem on your server - I'm guessing you are on a windows server?

not sure what i have. i added a %l (lowercase l) and it took off leading zeros.
