Something went wrong...[object XMLHttpRequest] and other err

Code: Select all
Joomla : 2.5.6
component_com_jevents : 2.2.7
module_mod_jevents_latest : 2.2.4

Hi,

I have successfully installed JEvents and it worked ok for first day or so, However, now it gives me error Something went wrong...[object XMLHttpRequest] for some events, and works ok for others. No idea what is happening.

It also gives me an error at the top JFolder: :delete: Could not delete folder. Path: /home/kilikano/public_html/cache/com_jevents.

I have made sure that the folder is set to 755 and has proper owner. Setting to 777 makes no difference.

I have turned off overlapping event checking both at the configuration end and at the category level. Are there any other areas where it should be turned off that I might have missed???

The site is live so we are a little bit limited how much playing we can do.

It also seems that any text formatting or any hyperlinks are what causing the "Something wend wrong" error.

Creating events seems to work, but features are limited and editing is limited too.

Thanks in advance!

hi gmmillard,
you should upgrade your Joomla! to the latest 2.5.9 as several minor and security bugs have been addressed.

Also upgrading your JEvents installation to the latest 2.5.8 and latest events module to the latest 2.2.5 will not harm either.

Also, please check this link:
