JEvents changes base URL

I am having problems with my test website (migrating from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5) in that JEvents is setting the base URL incorrectly. If you look at my staging website http://test.churchendbrewery.co.uk you will see that the icons in the menu display correctly until 'events' is selected, where the 'home' and 'beers' icons disappear. looking at the page source, the base URL is changed when the Jevents page is selected, causing the icon path to be incorrect. IMHO, the base URL should always be (in this case) test.churchendbrewery.co.uk.

Update: upgraded to v3, and problem resolved!

The Base tag is set by Joomla based on the current URL and not the root URL of the site.

I suspect you may need to make your menu item background images into absolute URLs

Anyhow it looks as though you resolved the issue.
