Accidentally removed important files, and can't reinstall :(

Hi,

I must have been drunk or something (thats a joke) because appearantly I removed a bunch of important component files with Filezilla and so it will not work anymore. I was hoping i could just install it again and it would be fine, but it will not install again with Joomla 2.5

I hope someone can help me!!

Hello,

You should just be able to reinstall. What error did you get?

Tony

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your reaction.

When installing with the extensions manager I get the two following messages:

-Component Install: DB function reports no errors
and
-Error installing component

I use Joomla 2.5 and when I go to manage extensionis I see that Jevents is installed a few times now but does not come back in the component dropdown menu. It's really weird.

I really like this extension by the way.. it is great :)

Ok,

Remove:

Administrator/components/com_jevents/
And
Components/com_jevents/

Then reinstall.

Everything should be as it was.

Tony

Hi TOny,

I am afraid I removed it all from the server but still get the same error.

Could I try to install rom directory or from URL?

Thanks again

Hello,

Do not be afraid, unless you have made modifications you will loose them.

It's always advised to backup first.

Worst case scenario you manual add each file.

The directory structure is there already:

admin = administrator/components/com_jevents
site = components/com_jevents/
