Ok, I had cleared it previously and just cleared it again. Cleared Firefox cache as well, this did not resolve the issue.

Hello,

I have just tried on a fresh install of Joomla 1.5.26 with JEvents 2.2.8 and it's worked flawlessly.

Are you using the Standard Joomla! Administration Template?

The only other thing that could effect it is A plugin loading JQuery without loading it in no.conflict mode.

Regards
Tony

Yes, using the standard admin template. If it's of any relevance, the Legacy mode is enabled. The only aditional pluggins I've loaded were JCE and JEvents, with the small calendar and the Latest Events.

Another point, when compatibility mode is enabled, the admin window displays correctly i.e. when i add a new event, the tabs display correctly across the top Common and Calendar. When the website is not added to compatibility view, the add event window doesn't display correctly and the Common tab appears at the top, with the Calendar tab appearing underneath it.

Hello,

I have tested all of the above on a fresh install and again perfect.

Can you Install Firebug in Firefox and see if you get any errors in the Firebug Console when trying to select a date.

Sounds like some thing is clashing.

I would suggest try no editor at all first.

Then disabling the non core plugins one by one till you find the culprit.
