Problem with layout override
by danielchat » Tue Dec 18, 2012 5:59 pm
Hi,
We just bought the gold membership as our main interest is the registration module. We are using Ohanah today which has a great look but lacks a strong registration module.
We are trying to change the JEvents layout to get closer to what we had for a minimum user interface change.
We followed the process described and are using the geraint layout as a base:
. Create a folder called assets/css or assets/images within this folder e.g. templates/ja_social/html/com_jevents/geraint/assets/css
. Put your modified stylesheet or image in this folder
We must do something wrong because when we copy the file events_css.css from the assets/css folder without even changing the content of the file, we lose the icons on top of the calendar (toolbar). If we delete the file from the template override folder (templates/ja_social/html/com_jevents/geraint/assets/css), the icons reappear.
We believe it is maybe a problem with a javascript somewhere as just copying the file in the new directory does that or there is maybe something else to do than the 2 steps process described above.
Any idea on how to solve this?
We are using the 2.2.8 version for Joomla 1.5.23
Cheers.

Hello Danielchat,
You are not doing anything wrong. But you need to recreate the links to the icons.
Alternatively, copy the icons/images over too!
.
As the CSS is in a different folder to where it was it's looking for the images in it's current location.
Regards
Tony
