Yes we can. There are several ways to do this.

If you normally only have 1 event a day, we can customise the background color of the day. Or we can have a little hover popup which shows the event and the category color to the left(or top, bottom, right).

I would suggest you increase the memory available to PHP to 48MB.

You need to increase you php memory limit.
