Not saving events after upgrade to 2.2.8
by jkabochel » Tue Nov 06, 2012 11:14 pm
- Code: Select all
Joomla : 1.5.26
component_com_jevents : 2.2.8
module_mod_jevents_cal : 2.2.0
module_mod_jevents_latest : 2.2.5
module_mod_jevents_legend : 2.2.3
plugin_editors_legacy : 2.2.8.4 (not enabled)
I'm having problems saving events after upgrading to 2.2.8. It's a similar problem to others but I've been through the resolutions and no luck. The Save and Apply buttons have got the # so they don't do anything. Only the Cancel button works. The entry in the Firefox Error Console is:
Timestamp: 06/11/2012 20:51:25
Error: ReferenceError: resetYMD is not defined
Source File: http://www.elgincity.com/administrator/index.php
Line: 485
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Jason

Hi Jason,
Can you try changing your editor to none?
Does that work?
is it just front end or both front and backend?
Regards
Tony

It's both front and back ends, but I usually use the back end to add events. Editor is set to none and still the same issue

Hi Tony, the MooTools Upgrade plugin was enabled and now it's disabled. Tried it again, still not saving.

Make sure its the official joomla mootools upgrade plugin and not something else you have installed yourself. These 3rd part addons often use out of date copies of Mootools.
After setting the editor to none you need to logout and login again.

I seem to have installed 1.2.4 - not sure where the 1.2.5 version is - any ideas? It's still not allowing me to save. I have logged in and out multiple times

You are still on 1.12.
Look for:
Mootools Upgrade!
In your plugin manager, this is a built in Joomla! plugin, no extra plugin.
And enable it.

Tony
