Is this suitable for multi-language Joomla 2.5 site?

Postby Mezza » Thu Nov 01, 2012 12:10 pm

I'm going to be building a Joomla 2.5 website in 4 languages, hopefully using the built in language feature of Joomla. Will I be able to have a calendar for each language and will the language of the days and months etc change automatically?

This will be first multi-language site I've built so I'm a bit of a newbie in this area. Thanks in advance for your help.

The date formatting and built in text in JEvents is all translated (see http://www.jevents.net/downloads/catego ... anslations for list of currently supported languages).

You can translate the categories using the Joomla language flag and then create different events in the appropriate language category - i.e. spanish events in your spanish language categories.

You could also use Falang to manage your translations.

Thanks for your reply. It sounds quite simple so I'm sure it will all make sense once I install the component.
