Frontend editing not saving new events. No errors

I am trying to insert new events with editors account when I click save or apply the modal window refreshes but the event is not saved. I also checked the backend and the events were not saved at all. I changed the permissions also and give add events and publish events rights to the user but still it is not saving.

I suspect this is caused by one of two things,

1. You editor? What are you using?

2. A Javascript error? check the error console in your browser.

I was also having this problem. I fixed it by changing my editor. It was was CodeMirror, and I changed it to a "WYSIWYG" editor.

Of course, now I can't reproduce the problem by switching back to CodeMirror. But I noticed in the Javascript console that there was an unhandled exception trying to call getCode() (or something like that). CodeMirror is always in code or "source" mode.

By the way, with CodeMirror as my active editor, the "Activity" field is inaccessible (and invisible).

Perhaps there needs to be a test for a usable editor, and if none is found, default to a simple text box.
