by Michael2011 » Sun May 13, 2012 9:26 am
Greeting,
I use Joomla 1.5 and JEvents 1.4
My Configuration in JEvents write "Config is not writeable " and "CSS file is not writeable".
What files must I give access rights that this error not occured?
Many Thanks!
Michael

Hello,
I logged in, in my administration of my Joomla 1.5.
Then I click to "components" -> "calendar" -> "configuration"
And then, I see the error (see attachment)
Thank you!

It seems like you have no permissions to write in the config and CSS folder, you might change permissions to allow writing the component, or probably, configuring and enabling the Joomla! FTP layer will solve the issue.

I would just like to add, you need to upgrade Jevents to either 1.5.6 or 2.1.18.
V 1.4 is extremely old!

Where is the folder for the JEvents CSS and where is the config file from JEvents?

Yes, but I want not only upgrade JEvents. I wait, that all my used modules (JEvents, Joomfish, ...) is available for the new Joomla. Then I seach a programmer that uograde my whole homepage.
But until then, I would like to fix my version 1.4 yet.
Thank you!

Hello,
Michael, JEvents 1.4 is a bit before my time I am afraid so cannot be sure.
I would suggest running Akeeba Admin tools to do a fix on file permissions.
You do not need wait, if you are using Joomla 1.5 then upgrade it to 1.5.26 for security reasons then upgrade jevents to 1.5.6 at least.
Regards
Tony
