i've just install this module "latest_event'

and affectes at the index page

but i'have this error :

Fatal error: Call to a member function getTemplate() on a non-object in /homez.53/randonneq/www/modules/mod_jevents_latest/helper.php on line 52

I suspect you have installed the JEvents 1.5.5 module in Joomla 2.5 - you need the 2.x version

in fact i've used JEvent 1.5 with Joomla 1.6
now i'm using 2.x abnd it's ok
therfore i don't know how to set up the parameters

what to do with

${eventDate}[!a: - ${endDate(%I:%M%p)}]
${title}

now it works, but i can't select the categories
i've an error :

what shall i do to fix that ?

Can you select a category at least? that appears to be the problem. as none is selected there is no array.

there is a plugin. component or module out there (I don't know what it is) that is changing a core Joomla file : libraries/form/fields/text.php and doing so incorrectly.

Unzip a clean copy of Joomla on your PB and find this file and replace the broken version on your server with the correct version from Joomla
