Problem not finding how to turn off admin name in calendar
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Problem not finding how to turn off admin name in calendar

Hi there, sorry to ask what must seem the same question that has been asked (and answered) before, but i'm just missing something as i can't seem to find the suggested software switch/es to fix this hassle.
Previously unknown to me my site www.hillwoodnews.com when searched by google, shows a number of the sites pages, as well as a link to the JEvents calendar.
That's fine, but... the link to the calendar then shows my admin username and it also clicks/links to my email address!!
Now i didn't realise this was normal and have only just found this annoying link by accident, but the thing is, i'm running just the JEvents calendar and i cannot seem to find any of the suggested areas (from these forums) to switch this off.
I'm guessing it may have something to do with a missing module or plugin i'm not using, so, your advice/help would be really appreciated.
I'm presently using Joomla 1.5.25 and only JEvents Calendar 1.5.2 and the calendar was set up to be viewed by visitors only (not changed or edited) and only updated by admin, well that's how i thought it was set up (;-<
Regards, alvin

Can you please show us an screenshot or a link to the specific page that has the problem?
By the way, may be upgrading to JEvents 1.5.6 can solve the issue.

Many thanks for such a quick response.
Ok, first up, yes, I absolutely will be upgrading to 1.5.6 or higher (is it ver 2 now?) and also a Joomla upgrade as soon as i can get on to it. In the meantime, apologies if the google search couldn't be replicated.
I forgot that I did it here in Australia and chose to view local rather than international, so a lot more came up than normally seen outside of the country, but if i put in just... hillwoodnews.com, i get a lot of my pages and one of them shown by google is this... http://hillwoodnews.com/events-calendar ... =component
OR this... http://www.hillwoodnews.com/events-cale ... =component
is that helpful?

If you upgrade to the latest JEvents version you will be able to edit the content of each cell of the table so you will be able to remove the admin name and email.
Otherwise in such an old version you might create an override of the list view and remove those fields.

I have the same issue, i tried the upgrade just now but it didn't resolve the issue. Is there something I should have done before upgrading?
