title for file upload in locations

Hi

It would be nice to have a inputfield for a title for earch file upload in the events detail.
Analog the title field for images in the same edit window (icalevent.edit) the users could put a titel for the files and the website owner could style the appearence of the links the better way.

Are you using the standard image uploader? If so there is a config option in the plugin that allows you to set a title for the image (which will appear in the alt/tooltip for the image).

I suppose I thought that file names would be more meangingful e.g. 'annual accounts.pdf' etc.

You can format the output with a generic text for the link using "JEV_FILE_HREF_1" etc. e.g.

<a href='{{JEV_FILE_HREF_1}}" >File 2</a>

That's a bit difficult for a normal author I think.

Hi Rolandus,
I think that Geraint solution is meant to be applied once by the site administrator/developer in the layout defaults where you want to show the file. If you need more assistance on how to include it on the layout defaults we will be glad to show you how

The authors just need to include the title of the file when uploading it ;o)

Anyway it's not easy for non technical site administrators, but it will help you get a quick solution while the changes are introduced on the system as this change will require several modifications I am afraid.
