by Michael2011 » Mon Jun 13, 2011 10:25 pm
Hello,
I have the JEvent Version 1.4.3.
My homepage developer has installed the JEvent modul on my Joomla site and its work very well.
Now I have transfer the homepage to another webserver and now I can not edit my events.
I think I have not the correct access rights to my directoties.
Can you tell me, what folder rights I need, that JEvents is correct working?
Thank you
Michael

Permissions should be the same as your main index.php file.

My folder have the name "com_events" and not "com_jevents".
However named, I have all folders and files in this folders give the 777 access, but I can not edit my event.
When I change information in the meta-data fields e.g. start date and end date, I can save this information.
When I change the information in the body (HTML), then the "Save" button does not work.
Have you an idea?

I'm afraid JEvents 1.4 is no longer supported - you can upgrade to Jevents 1.5.5 - there are migration instructions available in various links from http://www.jevents.net/en/jevents-15-topmenu-17
You can run both JEvents 1.5.5 and 1.4.3 on the same site for testing.
