SOLVED - How can I get the geraint cal_titlelink style on

Postby MamaDesignKitty » Mon Nov 07, 2011 5:41 pm

I love the alternative format style, but have a lot of events on the same days in different categories. I think it would read easier in monthly view the way it appears in the Geraint format style (with the block on the left and the underline/border on the bottom) of the daily event links.

I've manipulated some css and php but can't seem to get the same effect. Can you help? :?

The site is in development, so pardon the remaining template items that need to be addressed on the rest of the pages. It is not public:

Thank you!

You may set a different layout for each JEvents Menu item, did you try playing with that?

I didn't even see that. I will look again. Is that something you can do in 1.5?

Hello,

It is indeed!

When you create the menu Item select Jevents Monthly Calendar, then click the Parameters(Component).

Within there you can select Choose Layout View :).

Tony

Well, I like the "alternative" layout, so I have chosen that for the main layout view. However, I like the way the "geraint" layout view has the line under the event on days (in monthly view). That's the only thing I want to use from that layout. I want to use it within the alternative layout. Is this possible?

You could customise the monthly calendar cell layout with the layout editor (see http://jevents.net/en/jevents-15-topmen ... ut-editing for a video on how to do this for the event detail page).

Doing this for the monthly view is more complex to get right - there are some club docs on this topic http://jevents.net/en/jevents-15-topmen ... y-calendar . with this you could add a bottom border on your events with the colour to match the event settings.

Thank you, Master!

I figured out how to do that and did add a bottom border on each event in the cell. It looks great. Thanks for such a great component! We love JEvents. :D
