User Permissions in Joomla 1.7
by tlynn » Mon Nov 07, 2011 9:10 pm
I am using Joomla 1.7 and i want my registered users to be able to add events as well as edit their own. My global permissions are set accordingly but for some reason its showing a conflict in jevents and will not allow anyone but the superuser to add or edit events.I have authorised users set to no and publish own set to yes. Any ideas?

I had attempted to set those as well but still a conflict is there. My global permissions for registered users are:
create = allowed
delete = allowed
edit = denied
edit state = denied
edit own = allowed
create = allowed
delete = allowed
edit = denied
edit state = denied
edit own = allowed

Make sure your user are actually in the group you are configuring for. It easy to create new users and not always put them in the groups you intended.
