Hi
I may be going out on a limb here BUT
Have you checked your MySQL databases
When I took over my site the language codes in the databases were set in the wrong languages and I had to change almost all of them
Now it is MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
Cheers

Can you please enable the system and language debugging options in the global configuration and check if in the debugging info appears any language file error?

It says
- Code: Select all
**Parsingerror in langfiles**
/mysite/language/sv-SE/sv-SE.com_jevents.ini : error in row 250, 251

Hi
I plain English
I use two servers and two setups, so I made two pics with arrows to show that to look for
The place that you keep your databases = PHP Admin
Each Table has drop-down list, and language setting.
When I took on my site many were in Swedish
I had to take each table jos_XXXXX and set it to UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
I don't know if I am right but you did say "both swedish AND english lang files"
Cheers

Are you using the language file for Joomla 1.7/Jevents 2.0?
The language file format is different to the old Joomla 1.5 version so you can't use the old language file.
