Search plugin - problem with events' dates

Postby stanislawl » Tue Oct 11, 2011 2:23 pm

Hello,

I have noticed that when the calendar is search with the search plugin, there is a problem with repeating events. Some of them are listed with the date of the first occurance, some others - with the date of the last one. Why?

You may see it here: http://www.domdzieci.eu/index.php?searc ... com_search (some dates are in 2011, some others - in 2036).

Best regards,
Stan

Did you set any repeats option in the event?

Yes, all the events are repeating - once a year starting in 2011, repeats count: 999. You may see an example of a screenshot with patrameters here: http://lubinet.pl/jevents.gif.

I am not sure, but may be, if you set the "last year" to display in the calendar in the component configuration (first tab) to a lower year (for instance 2013), the events from 2036 will not display.

If that does not work, there is a plugin for silver members that allows you to restrict the events to show in a range date. That is for instance, only show events for next 365 days and so.

This was fixed in a recent version of JEvents - are you using JEvents 2.0.4?

php/unix may not be able to cope with dates in the year 3010 - until recently PHP couldn't deal with dates outside the range 1970-2036.

I would recommend you make sure your PHP is up to date and ideally reduce the number of repeats since I'm sure no-one is interested in events happening in the year 3960

I have just reduced the number of repeats to 25. But the error is still there... It seems to me it is the table jos_jevents_repetition that makes some trouble and not jos_jevents_rrule. In the table jos_jevents_rrule all the repeats have been limited to the dates in 2036 when the events were created - see: http://www.lubinet.pl/2036.gif.
