Postby pabilo50 » Wed Oct 12, 2011 6:37 pm

First congrats for the good component.
I want to buy the gold suscription inmediatly but i have three questions:
- is possible to assign differents layout for different categories??
- Is possible to run external plugins in the description field?? like a youtube video plugin??
- Is possible to make a custom form for attend the event?? With no pay and nothing just a form with 4 fields.

Thanks a lot and i hope to hearing for you soon.

Hi Pabilo,

1. It is not possible to assign different layouts to different categorys, sorry!

2. Yes it is indeed. I have tested it using: Content - Easiertube

3. Yes it is also possible :) just a simple form set what you want.

I see that if a field is not filled it doesn´t appear in the layout so i can put all the fields of both categories in the same layout and the only fill the ones of each categories.

Example:
There are two different types of events one cultural and one sportive.
The cultural events have one fields and the sport ones other.
So i want to show the fields of each category in his event.

Is it possible???

Thanks a lot.

No. you would create two templates one for each type

No problem. you cannot apply templates i.e. themes to each category but you can create registration templates as many as you like.

If you create custom fields these can be restricted to certain categories e.g. golf events could have a field 'maximum handicap'. Then in your event detail layout this field would only appear for this sort of event. Its possible to put conditional formatting and labels for these fields so that the label/formatting only appears when the field has a value.

This then allows you to construct different outputs for different categories.

I am planning to allow you to create completely different layouts for different categories but this is a few weeks away.
