First and last day of event - show in monthly view

If you cannot see this, please enable JEvents project news within it's configuration. Also, if you get a 500 Error, Enable Joomla! Maximum Error Reporting and view the page again, you should now have a more detailed error which will help us to resolve you issue quickly.

First and last day of event - show in monthly view

Is it possible to show only half of the bar in default monthly view for first and last day of the event?
Like in this picture?
Would be very grateful for some tips, how to do it.
