PHP error in new installation

If you cannot see this, please enable JEvents project news within it's configuration. Also, if you get a 500 Error, Enable Joomla! Does this error happen in the installation process or after the install? If it happens when accessing the component, in which part happens?
Can you please try to reinstall the component? It seems that some files were not properly installed.
