Unable to login as administrator

When going to the admin login page this message appears – “Error loading plugins:”

After putting in the username and password this message appears - “Error loading plugins: JAuthentication::__construct: Could not load authentication libraries. Username and password do not match”.

The username and password have not been changed. Also, when accessing the website itself, I get a blank white screen, which says “Restricted Access”.

I didn't set up the website. I'm just jumping in to help in the absense of an admin person... so I'm learning as I go. Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure how this is a JEvents issue. You might have more luck posting your problem on the Joomla! forums.
