When requesting support, please copy and paste the 'Version information for Support Forum' from the JEvents Control Panel into your post. If you cannot see this, please enable JEvents project news within it's configuration. Also, if you get a 500 Error, Enable Joomla! Maximum Error Reporting and view the page again, you should now have a more detailed error which will help us to resolve you issue quickly.

JEvents 2.0 Translations

In Downloads -> JEvents 2.0 Translations you can find a notice that the Joomla 1.5 Language File Compatability Plugin has to be installed for the german language.
But the link:

to the plugin is broken
Is this plugin nessecery?
I use Joomla Version 1.5.23 an will install JEvent 2.01 in German

The compatability plugin is in the Jevents 2.0 download folder.
If you find the translation works without it then you should be ok. You should know straight away since there will be no translation if it doesn't work.

The link in the downloads area is working for me, but the one you wrote here is not, where did you get this link?
