Geraint,
Any ideas on getting this to work with J2.5 - i have tried doing it as a template override and by altering the core code but neither option has worked so far.
I am using the iconic layout, if that makes any difference
Cheers

the code from last august should work fine in Joomla 2.5 - what problem are you having?
Where have you placed your template override file and what is it called?

I can not get the event title to appear in the breadcrumbs.
I placed the template override in a number of places trying to get it to work these were:
1) templates/rt_omnicron/html/com_jevents/helpers/
2) templates/rt_omnicon/html/com_jevents/iconic/helpers/
the file is called defaultviewhelperfooter16.php

Location 1 is correct and what does your defaultviewhelperfooter16.php file now look like?

The code should still work - I checked Joomla 2.5 and they haven't changed the method calls.
Can you put some statments in the code like
echo "got here";
or
echo $task;
to check progress and the values of key variables

Hi Geraint,
I am sorry but i am still struggling with this - i recon i must just be missing / doing something silly.
I added the php echos you mentioned to various parts of the helper file but it did not appear at any point in the breadcrumb.
If i send you ftp details are you able to have a look for me?
