Multiple Categories for Events

I have a joomla 1.6 project and i need a calender with the above item.
if i can get the 2.0 i will add this option and contribute the result to the communitie. Is this an option?

You can't have multiple categories in JEvents 2.0 BUT silver members can use the Jevents tagging addon which allows you to assign multiple, pre-defined tags to events. With these tags you can filter menu items and modules and also search for events. They therefore offer 90% of the functionality people want from multiple categirues.
