No change of language
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.
Forum rules
Please include as much detail in any test or bug reports for JEvents 1.5 as possible.
First of all, check if you are running the latest available version of Joomla! and JEvents. Posts for issues, where both systems are not updated, will be ignored.

No change of language

I use JEvents Version v1.5.0 alpha3, Joomla! 1.5.9 Production/Stable [ Vatani ] and PHP 5.1.6.
I can't translate JEvents to my language (spanish). I've upload the ini files to the site but I got no change at all. Everything in the site is in spanish, but JEvents (english).
I also get error 500 when I press Check Locale configuration. I suppose this error is related to my problem. Perhaps I have to make some change in permissions, but the configuration file is writable, so I don't really know what to do.
I've read a post about error 500 but I'm afraid I don't undestand the answer of the site admin ("Not checked check locale"). I've searched in the translations forum but nobody has the same problem.
I only need a idea about how to solve it.
Thanks.

I moved the message to the correct forum - I only saw your message by chance.
1. Update your codebase to the version in the top message in this forum
2. Currently I only have the English and German translations for alpha 3 since the codebase is changing quite rapidly as we get close to beta.
3. Once we get to beta I'll be looking for translators - fancy helping out?
In the meantime you could use the language files from alpha2 but there are quite a few new language strings.
