Mini Calendar tooltip
JEvents 2.0 was launched over 2 years ago and the latest stable version is version 2.2 which will run on Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5. JEvents 1.5 is therefore no longer actively supported - you should upgrade to JEvents 2.2+ as soon as possible.

Mini Calendar tooltip

Hi,
I just installed this component and I'm attempting to get things up and running. So far it's looking pretty good, but I'd like to change some of the simple features which I seem to be missing.
I would like to have the flyout in the mini calendar when you hover over the event to show the events for that day. Is that possible?
Thanks.
On a side note, I was looking at the cost of becoming a gold member, which is very steep when you factor in the exchange rate that I have. Why do you charge so much? I realize the cost of support and development is quite high, but if you made the cost a little more reasonable the amount of gold members would go up. Just my 2 cents.

Having the events in the minicalendar tooltip is not quite straightforward. Actually we have some documentation in the club area regarding this issue:
http://www.jevents.net/en/jevents-15-to ... dar-module
I can't say much about the pricing, but if you are willing to contribute to the project you can also choose the silver or even Bronze subscriptions.
The Gold subscription in the other hand gives you access to great extensions that would help you charge for the attendees of the Events and that actually increase the value of an events based site in a 100%, at least from my point of view.

I'm not able to see that link due to it being in the club member section.

Hello,
I'm also interested in the possibility to view the events name in the mini-calendar Tooltip.
Could somebody tell me how is it working? And what possibilities it has?
I would need to know it before I pay for one club membership.
Is it possible to view some events of one day in the minicalendar tooltip?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Adding the tooltip to the mini-calendar involves some basic coding but you are given the sample code to show a summary of the events happening on any particular day in the popup tooltip. You can customise the content of the popup using the sample code and if you needed help to get specific information to appear then I would be able to help in the club forums.
This is what it would look like.
You would choose your own title text for the popup and the colours you wanted to use.

Hello Geraint,
Thank you for the fast answer. It is very clear.
One more question: Is this possibility inlcuded in the free version of JEvents? or Do I need to get one club membership? Which club membership? Bronze, Silver or Gold?
Thanks again
Alfredo

As a bronze member you get access to all the club documentation and sample files relating to the core of JEvents including this specific article.
The reason it isn't free is that developing and supporting JEvents is a huge undertaking and yet the main application and modules/plugins are all free todownload. Writing these specialised articles takes considerable time and effort and they add value to the JEvents club which in turn ensures that the development of JEvents continues.

hello again,
I have one more question about the Mini Calendar. Please also tell me with what club membership I would find the solution, if there.
Question:
In the day that there is only one event (in minicalendar). I would need to click on the day, and to go directly from there to the article that is related. Without passing trough the Day screen view.
And even not passing trough the event description. Just linking to a normal article of joomla.
Is it possible? With what membership?
Thanks

If you want JEvents to redirect to an article from the event detail then you'll need the agenda/minutes addon which is a silver member addon.
