great new feature requests

Hi Guys
I believe all following things made jevents perfect event registration tool on admins - users basis ( agency - clients) basis. Now Jevents work on a bit different basis but with following changes it become tool for alot of event management, artist, wedding and corporate events companies who need same requirements like me. I checked all event components for joomla and Jevents is most close ... just if there will be those new options..

1) make allow admins (incl superadmins) to see all events incl. private in frontend option in config
2) make force private and force private details in config. By enabling this new config options than personal event status menu disappear in frontend and it will be fixly set in backend. I would like some suboption for this which apply new"force option" also to admin (incl superadmins) users or not. Example:If suboption will be set on "apply on admins too:yes" then if admin set in backend for example "force private" than all events created by users or admins themselves will be private. If "apply to admins:no" then all events created by users will be private but admins will see normal public, private, private events menu in frontend so admins can choose if they create private, public or private details event. Basicly this supoption exclude admins from new "force" options if they will be enabled.
3)If personal event status is activated there should also be option that if personal event plugin activated than "access level" menu disappear. Having personal events plugin menu and access menu together will in my experience lead only to confusion of event creators so it will be good if there will be backend option to hide this menu when personal event plugin activated. As you said yourself with personal event plugin is access level menu almost for nothing anyway (only special is applicable) and because most of users dont know joomla and dont know what special means it will be better if there will be choice remove access levelk menu if personl event plugin enabled...
4) make option that make force "only show my events:yes, no" in backend. If this will be set in backend to yes than "only show my events" dropdown menu disappear and it will be fixly set by admin. Also For this I would need config supoption "apply to admin(incl superadmins):yes/no" If yes than it will be applied to all users ( registered , admins, creators etc...) If set to No than it will be applied to all users except admins and superadmins - so admins will still have "only show my events" dropdown menu accessible in frontend.
5) Option to allow send event creator email notification if admin edit event in backend or frontend.
6) options in backend to remove or change Jevents logo in "add events" page and same option for removing "i" icon
7) If event admin approval email will be extended so admins can approve event directly by clicking a link in email will be great addition

I know that some of my ideas can be done by overriding code or editing css but if it can be done by config options in backend will be much more better for most users who are not programmers. Hope Geraint consider at least some of my ideas good and worth to be added to todolist :-)

Hi Geraint...hmmmm I chacked plg jev users - I have v 1.5 installed. I see there is newer version 1.6 out but there is only "Fix problem some users found with duplicate events...." listed as addition to v1.5. Didnt you implemented my feature requests to some other plugin as I cant find that features anywhere ?

I suspect I didn't update the changelog.

In 1.6 you have the option to allow admins to see all events and force a specific state (e.g. private) when saving an event.

I had uploaded it to the forum for testing somewhere but can't find it now. So I uploaded it again at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4010
