People Management question

There is column marked "Common", what is the purpose of this?

Common means that this entry is selectable for everyone. Otherwise the entry is only selectable for the creator.
This goes also for locations.

Another related question. I was hoping when I clicked on the JEV People menu item, that it would give me a drop down of which people/profiles had been created so that I could create links to those "people" is this possible at all now, what would could I do to achieve this?

At the moment the only menu type built in is a "people management" menu type.

I can add a "person detail" menu type as well as a "people list" - both of which could have a link to a calendar showing events featuring these people. This is a good idea

In the meantime - if you see the link to the person in the event detail page you can use this URL and create a Joomla menu item for this link. Not as good but will work in the short term.
