Hi
The language file was indeed missing due to incorrect permissions on the joomla folder. Its Joomla 2.5.8. many thanks for the quick response. I love this forum already.

Greetings,
I installed langoverride_1.3.4, com_jevents_2.2.8 and enabled both. When I launch Jevents from the Components menu on my Joomla 1.5.3 website www.bremertonpilotsassociation.org, I get "Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /administrator/index.php on this server.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request." User write permission is enabled on index.php. Can you provide any guidance?
Thanks, Joel

Hello,
Wow Joomla 1.5.3 is your issue!!! You need to upgrade to 1.5.26 immediately, you are at risk at several security threats and it will fix your issues.
Regards
Tony

That was a typo. The site is running 1.5.23, not 1.5.3. I'm in the process of upgrading to 1.5.26 and will report my results. Thanks for your quick reply.
